An integrated mobile strategy

Danish Rail (DSB) engaged CellPoint Mobile’s senior business executives to help formulate an integrated mobile strategy. The DSB team wanted a mobile road map that would enable the company to achieve stated business goals by aligning mobile services with the company’s existing IT governance policies.


CellPoint Mobile built a road map that identified two key pilot projects: Mobilize Seat Reservation and Mobilize Ticket Sales. Both projects were implemented over the course of six months using a flexible, iterative approach based on Scrum principles, which significantly shortened the project time.

The entire DSB solution is built on CellPoint Mobile’s platform, utilizing its mTicket™, mPoint™ and mConsole™ services. The solutions were delivered including full integration with DSB’s back office system, including the e-commerce system, financial systems, customer service systems and surveillance systems.


The new mobile platform now handles about 33% of all DSB tickets sold – millions of transactions every day.

The DSB ticket application has been nominated by the Danish Design Council for the Danish Design Awards for its ease of use, simplicity and appeal to a broad range of customers. The solution is operational via mobile app for both iOS and Android.
