NRF - Mobile Retail InitiativeCellPoint Mobile was the Vice-Chair, together companies Oracle and Smart Card Alliance, in developing both versions of the NRF – Mobile Blueprint. NRF – Mobile Blueprint intends to lead the industry in the development of standards and the documentation and dissemination of mobile-related best practices for the purpose of maximizing benefits and minimizing implementation expense, on-going costs and fees.

Mobey Forum – Implementer Guidelines for Mobile Remote Payments

Mobey ForumCellPoint Mobile was the Co-Chair, together with SWIFT and Royal Bank of Scotland, in developing the Implementer Guidelines for Mobile Remote Payments. The aim of the document is to provide practical guidelines for implementation, leveraging both existing infrastructures and standard payment instruments such as credit transfers, card payments and transfers between stored value accounts.

The important role of the mobile phone number, and not any other specific code or identifier, to identify the payer and payee in a mobile remote payment transaction is highlighted within this paper. Using the mobile phone number will provide user convenience, ensure privacy and the security of payment information, and facilitate interoperability across stakeholders.
